Today was a mixed day.
4 of us got up early to go down to the lakeside to help unpack the new hospital ambulance boat from the container. The day went well, we found out that health and safety really doesnt exist in Africa and by the end of the day the boat was in the lake.
Others worked on the playground and made great progress which has put us in a good position to have the playground finished by the time we leave.
Some of us worked on the eye clinic and we now have at least one coat of paint on every wall.
For dinner we ate stew and rice and then many of us went for a tour of the hospital. As I’m writing this the last few of us are just about to turn in ready for an early start in the morning.
We’ve really enjoyed reading about your time in Malawi and wished we were there too (maybe not during the butchering bit or the scary road trips though!) We can’t believe 3 weeks have passed so quickly. Hopefully Joe has taken loads of photos to share with us when he gets home. Hope you all enjoy the last couple of days of the trip and have a safe journey home. Take care.

Really enjoyed the blog, sounds great, wish I was with you, Cruse ship around Norway, 24 hour a day free food, plus three 6 course meals, and waking up in bed in new interesting place every day, goes some way to compensate. Your experience sounds a lot more real though.
Sounds as if you can call yourselves really useful.
Sounds like you can say you’ve had a real adventure.
